YouTube OG Shane Dawson took a bit of a break from making YouTube videos after he was drenched in controversy earlier this year. Now he’s preparing his COMEBACK!

PAST DRAMA

  • Ancient videos re-surfaced of Shane being inappropriate towards minors.
  • Jada Pinket Smith called out Shane for “disgusting” Willow video.
  • Tati Westbrook alleged Shane is a ‘sociopath’ in shocking video.
  • Shane accused of racist blackface for his Will Smith parody music video.
  • YouTube demonetize all of Shane’s channels.

2020 has been an absolutely terrible year, and it’s been even worse for some. So is the case YouTube OG Shane Dawson.

Shane uploaded his first video to YouTube in 2008, and ever since then he has been on a steady climb to the top. He even made his mark in Hollywood by starring in some–what Shane admits to being–terrible movies. However, if there is anything that watching Shane over the last 12 years has taught us, we know that Shane knows how to adapt.

Shane completely reshaped his content when he found his channel was losing relevance. He diversified it by going a bit off-topic and doing videos about crazy conspiracy theories. From there his content evolved even more and Shane started making feature length investigative documentaries about his fellow creators.

Shane and Jeffree Star

His videos on Tana Mongeau and Logan Paul were highly praised by the rest of the YouTube community. Then, to top things of, Shane partnered with controversial socialite and cosmetics guru Jeffree Star to launch his own line up makeup, aptly named Conspiracy.

Shane documented the whole process, from the conception to to the consumption of Conspiracy, and his channel grew exponentially in the process. Unfortunately, Jeffree Star had many enemies already within the YouTube beauty community, and now that he had aligned himself with Jeffree Star, Shane had a target on his back.

YouTube beauty community drama = Game of Thrones

The YouTube beauty community drama has often been described to be like Game of Thrones on steroids. Every week has more plot twists then a M. Night Shyamalan flick… and Shane would soon find out.

The community dug up plenty of old dirt on Dawson… videos he, himself, had long forgotten about and–at least through a modern lens–could be perceived very problematic.

Despite the drama the relationship between Shane Dawson and his fiancée Ryland Adams is going strong, source says.

Videos of Shane being edge and making inappropriate jokes about kids surfaced and the community was quick to label him a paedophile. They even went as far as to dig up a video where he, obviously joking, makes a lewd gesture at a Willow Smith poster. The community, en masse, spammed the video on Jada Pinkett Smith’s timeline forcing her to respond to the video.

Called out by the Smith family.

Then, immediately after, they spammed videos of him doing ‘blackface’ when parodying a Will Smith videos. He was called a racist, and even Jaden Smith chimed in.

“SHANE DAWSON I AM DISGUSTED BY YOU,” Jaden tweeted Saturday. “YOU SEXUALIZING AN 11 YEAR OLD GIRL WHO HAPPENS TO BE MY SISTER!!!!!!  IS THE FURTHEST THING FROM FUNNY AND NOT OKAY IN THE SLIGHTEST BIT.”

Pinkett Smith also tweeted about Dawson, writing, “To Shane Dawson … I’m done with the excuses.”

Jaden commented on Dawson’s history with blackface.

“This Man Was Also Doing Black Face On The Regular🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️. As The Youth We Need To Support Creators Who Support Us And Our Morals. This Is Not Okay,” he wrote.

Subsequently YouTube responded by demonetizing all of his channels. Some retailers even pulled all of his merch off their shelves.

Like I said, the YouTube beauty community can certainly be a vicious bunch.

According to a tip we received, Shane has every intention of returning… in the new year!

Shane returns!

Things are looking up for the 32-year-old online celebrity. YouTube have restored monetization to his channel, and he’s starting to pull himself together.

The last few months have been really rough on the content creator, and many were even speculating on his mental health. Our source told us that Shane did indeed “rock bottom” but now he’s turning his life around by exercising regularly and helping his fiancée Ryland Adams with his work.

Dawson to return

Shane Dawson COMEBACK! He is preparing for his big return to YouTube in 2021 with a big video!

He’s even starting to work on his own project which our source believes is going to be his best work yet.

“He’s working on self reflection documentary, a kind of a tell all, about his entire life leading up to this point. It will even show how bad this drama got to him. It’s going to be a huge comeback,” the source said in their email.

According to the tip, Dawson is aiming to return to YouTube in January, 2020. Looking forward to seeing Shane Dawson’s COMEBACK or do you think YouTube is better off without him. Let us know in the comments below.
