xQc called “heartless” for rage quitting on a kid in Sea of Thieves

Fans weren’t impressed with Félix “xQc” Lengyel antics during a game of Sea of Thieves where he rage quit on a young player who admitted he was new to the game.

Félix Lengyel, better known as xQc, is a professional gamer who earned his fame through phenomenal Overwatch gameplay. He was recruited into Luminosity Gaming before they disbanded in 2019. So it shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone that he takes gaming seriously and is thus very competitive.

However, some people believe his competitiveness is no excuse to the way he treated a kid who he matched with in a random lobby of Sea of Thieves.

“Are you any good at the game,” Félix “xQc” Lengyel asks his young and obviously nervous young team mate.

“Uhh. No,” xQc’s random team mate laughs awkwardly.

When xQc asks why his Sea of Thieves team mate, who seems young and very nervous, admits they people who usually play with them quit because they’re a noob.

xQx promptly responds “OK” before disconnecting and laughing at what he just did, and fans aren’t happy and are calling him “heartless”.

Is he heartless: Although xQc has done some controversial things, he has often shown the good side to his character. He even stood up for CallMeCarson after he was accused for grooming a minor.

“There was no need for that. Sea of Thieves is largely a player vs environment game and he could have helped the kid improve his skill,” one disappointed fan pointed out.

Other fans believe what xQc only did it because his teammate had very low energy and there was clearly communication issues because of their accents. It is also important to note that he was playing The Arena which puts more focus on player vs player action than adventures.

The Arena is a new game mode designed to complement the existing Sea of Thieves adventure. It allows players to dive straight into on-demand competitive play with other crews for more action-focused encounters.

It was obvious from watching the Twitch clip that Félix “xQc” Lengyel did feel a bit guilty by rage quitting like that on his young team mate, which indeed proves that he isn’t heartless.
