Adin Ross, a popular NBA2K and Grand Theft Auto Twitch streamer, is glad to be back on Twitch after being banned for using his phone while driving in an IRL stream.

Many people were surprised to see Adin Ross back on Twitch after he was apparently permanently banned for texting while driving during an IRL stream last week. It was the 21-year-fourth old’s ban on the site, thus the three-strike rule that applies to so many other lesser broadcasters on the platform did not, and still does not, apply to him.

Adin tweeted on July 8th that he believed this was his final ban: “I was just banned from Twitch. Guys, I believe it’s a permanent situation… This is NOT AT ALL acceptable. During my IRL [In Real Life] stream, I was stopped at a red light and read chat on my phone. I am completely at fault, and I apologise profusely. I’m not sure when I’ll be able to return. I’m trembling right now. I’m truly sorry. I’m in a bad mood.”

A short video of Adin Ross checking his phone while driving in an IRL Twitch stream has surfaced, which violates the platform’s harmful and dangerous content rules. Ross claimed he examined his phone briefly at a red light, but his detractors quickly pointed out that the car did not slow down while he was viewing his phone.

This ban has now been lifted and Adin Ross can stream for his 4 million followers in Twitch again. Many people are outraged at the decision of Twitch to lift the prohibition, because many think the streamer has very “toxic fans” and Ross himself is regarded as a black sheep in the Twitch community.

Fans of Adin’s own reportedly created a faux police report stating that, after his one-day Twitch suspension, Adin Ross was armed and threatening citizens during the first stream back. However, Adin Ross then said it was a prank and that he had been “arrested by fake cops” and put up by one of his admirers or pals to avoid another ban.

Adin Ross’s Twitch account has been fully restored and he maintains his partnership. He has received no further suspensions on his account since the incidient.
