“Pokimane has a boyfriend,” Leafy tweets days after she announces that she’s taking a month off from streaming due to her mental health.
Leafy (LeafyIsHere), real name Calvin Lee Vail, attempted to expose Imane Anys, a popular Twitch streamer who goes by Poikimane, by revealing that she lying to her “simps” about having a boyfriend. Shortly after the video dropped Pokimane announced that she’s taking a break from streaming on Twitch.
People assume that Pokimane is taking a break from Twitch because she’s rapidly losing subscribers on Twitch because of the boyfriend drama, however, there is no evidence to suggest these reports are true. Twitch does not publish the earnings of their partners which means that any claims are pure speculation.
Pokimane announces break from streaming
On August 6th she announced the that she was taking a “much needed” break from streaming on Twitter, citing burnout and mental health as being primary reasons for her decision.
“It’s been hard for me to find the same joys and motivation for making content. The things I look forward to the most, like visiting my family, traveling, going to conventions, and meeting some of you aren’t possible right now. This has led to me feeling burnt out for quite some time, and because of that, I’ve been planning to take a month off.”

The timing of her announcement to take a break from Twitch streaming has led many to believe that it has something to do with the Pokimane boyfriend drama. But the 24-year-old Twitch streamer insists it’s just a much needed break.

Many of Pokimane’s detractors have fired back at her decision to take a break, some claiming she is just trying to let the boyfriend drama die down because she does not want to address it.

Leafy believes he is the reason why Pokimane is taking a month long break from Twitch streaming and has since doubled down on his claim that she has a boyfriend and doesn’t want to tell her followers about him.

Pokimane has not posted anything since August 6th, when she announced her break, but will will return to Twitch sometimes in early September.
