Amazon Prime’s The Boys is one of the hottest series currently streaming and fans are celebrating the second season by cosplaying some of their favourite “heroes”.
Of course we have to put quotation marks around heroes because, if you’ve watched the show, surely you know that “The Supes” or “super-enabled” aren’t exactly good people.
The show is set in a universe where the “superheroes” are recognized as the good guys by the general public and work for the powerful corporation Vought International, which markets and monetizes them. Outside of their heroic personas, most are arrogant and corrupt. However, there is one hero that stil has a shred of humanity in her; Starlight.
Starlight (real name Annie January) is one of the main characters in the Amazon series The Boys. She’s a member of The Seven, the most popular group of superheroes. She is the only super-enabled being who seems to have a conscience. Perhaps that’s why she is one of the most beloved characters on the show and why so many people choose her for their cosplay projects.

Odette Crystal
Odette Crystal captured the evanescent glow and warmth of Annie Januar perfectly in this picture. She chose to wear her self-designed original which honestly is modest and cute.
The soft contouring and makeup is on point and Odette is absolutely crushing it with that playful smirk.
Mina Kess
Mina is not a natural blonde but she looks great as one! She is sporting the new, hyper-sexualised, Starlight outfit with a a blonde wig.
The perfect thing about Starlight is that she has a very natural looking body so even when she is in her new outfit she is still somewhat reserved. Starlight doesn’t exactly scream “busty” or “curvy” she’s just your typical girl next door. Mina Kess looks gorgeous as Starlight!
Arabella
So wholesome. So sweet… and so adorable. Arabella (better known as TheCosplayHobbyist on Instagram) embodies that Christian innocence that is is rapidly fading from Starlight.
Her smile should be in the dictionary when you look up the word “innocent”. And that costume, it’s one of my favourite versions of the original design; it kind of looks like a mixture between a Sunday church dress and a badass superhero outfit. Love it!
Ivy Stark
Out of all of the Starlight cosplay pictures this one is definitely my favourite (although its not on the top of this list) and that is because Ivy Stark (Lady_Ragnarok_Cosplay) looks the part for the All-American cheerleader that I’m so certain Starlight was in highschool.
The patriotism is there and it is packed with an abundance of kick-butt peppiness. Also, the best outfit I’ve seen so far. Arabella could wear this in town if she wanted to!
Kristin
Kristin aka ArmoredHeartCosplay takes the number one spot for best Starlight cosplay from The Boys. This photo is just the complete package when it comes to lighting, costume, hair, makeup and even posing. It’s a very professional looking shot.
Fun fact about the outfit, though. She is actually wearing the same outfit that Mina Kess designed and wore in her photo.
